My first experience of brushing teeth

Dental and medical services in Qinghai are very expensive and scarce. People also lack the basic dental care and oral health knowledge. Therefore in 1999, Christian Action began a 3-year dental and medical programme to provide free and immediate dental services to the children who lack the knowledge and poor people living in remote areas. We worked in partnership with Jian Hua Foundation. They provided medical volunteers and equipment while we were responsible for the dental care service. We invited volunteer dentists to go to Qinghai to provide dental check-up and care, oral care and to educate people on the prevention of dental diseases. we have given much-needed treatment and relief to 5,000 patients. This project was funded by SK Yee Medical Foundation.
