Christian Action was established in 1985 as a Hong Kong registered charitable organisation. Our mission is to serve those who are poor, disadvantaged, marginalised, displaced or abandoned, aiming to give them hope, dignity and self-reliance. Our service recipients include underprivileged children and youth, the unemployed, new arrivals, ethnic minorities, refugees, migrant domestic workers, also orphans and abandoned children in Qinghai; we also develop social enterprise services. We base on the example of Jesus Christ to serve all people regardless of their age, gender, nationality and religion.
We are holding a Flag Day on Wednesday, 9th August, 2017, on Hong Kong Island. Our aim is to raise funds to support our social and humanitarian service programmes which enhance the ability and self-reliance of underprivileged and marginalised groups living in Hong Kong. Those benefiting include underprivileged children and youth, low income families, unemployed youth and adults, new arrivals, ethnic minorities, refugees and migrant domestic workers.
We are hoping to raise HK$600,000 from our Flag Day 2017, and in order to achieve this target we’ll need to recruit around 2,000 volunteers to join hands with us! Please support us!
