The Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS) that is affecting South Korea is cause for concern worldwide. Please pray for God’s wisdom to fight this disease and successfully contain its spread; and His healing for those who are ill.  Amen!   4

Our Social Enterprise Division will launch the “Share to Love Charity Book Drive” at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre over the weekend. Pray that more people will be called to support our green collection programme.

Today all primary school children will be told which secondary schools they have gained admission to. Pray that the children from our new arrivals programmes will be offered places where they will thrive, where they will come to realize God’s plan for their lives.     8

Christian Action (CA) was chosen by Employees Retraining Board as the sole training provider to conduct several workplace tours in Kwun Tong this year.  Please continue to pray that the activities will provide job seekers with valuable info about the workplace.

Please pray for the Christian Action Asia (USA) intern who will be spending most of July in Qinghai serving the underprivileged children and youth.  Pray that he will understand the blessing of giving.     10

Our New Arrival Mong Kok Service Centre will provide childcare services over the summer. Pray that we are able to lift the burden on parents as they search for childcare alternatives that facilitate their long working hours.

Our Social Enterprise Division will host a charity drive at Kwai Chung Hospital. Pray for us as we partner with different organizations to raise funds through the green collection initiative and become better known to the public.   14

Our Training Services Division is organizing a series of interest classes for North District Youth Development Scheme – Northern Lights 2015-6 from June to December.  Pray that youngsters in the district will be empowered through these training programmes.

The results of HK Diploma of Secondary Education will be released today.  Pray that the students will look to God for guidance and have faith in Him, that they will choose wisely and follow a God-pleasing path.     16

Fei Fei, the baby girl from Xining Children’s Home born without external ears, has been diagnosed with bilateral microtia and atresia.  Pray that her hearing will improve once she is fitted with a hearing aid.

Subsidies for welfare recipients have been affected by disagreements between Legislative Council members. Pray that motions in their favour will be passed before the summer break so as to minimize disruptions to the welfare of the underprivileged.    18

A local theme park has opened their doors to some of our new arrival Mongkok service centre beneficiaries. Please pray that these excursions become valuable family time, where they all enjoy experiences they could otherwise hardly afford.

Our ministry coordination team is recruiting mentors and mentees for the fifth-phase of the Child Development Fund Mentorship programme.  Pray for them as we seek partnership with the churches in the neighbourhood to make an impact on the next generation.  Amen!    20

Praise the Lord! Three venues have been confirmed for CA’s 30th anniversary photo exhibition. Please pray for additional venues as we try to raise awareness of the plight of the city’s poorest and most marginalized through the exhibition.   22

Praise God!  Financed by different organizations, our New Arrival Mongkok Service Centre will run various summer activities for our children.  Pray that we are able to “Point your kids in the right direction—when they’re old they won’t be lost.” Proverbs 22:6

Our Ambassador Scheme for Ethnic Minority Youths will begin today, thanks to approval from the Home Affairs Department.  Pray that these youths will be better equipped by our programme to thrive as they grow through their teens to adulthood.

We are revamping our website. Please pray for a smooth execution of this project as we would like to use the internet to have a far-reaching impact, promoting our ministry to vulnerable people in Hong Kong and Qinghai.     26

Please pray that Christian Action can be incorporated with the government’s public housing plan so that our headquarters can remain in our current location, and continue to speak for the neglected and serve the marginalized and disadvantaged in this area.

To promote better family relationships and community networks among our service recipients, our Integrated Employment Assistance Service Centre (IEAPS) will launch a 6-month project including a series of activities to promote personal development, family values and community involvement.  Pray that our clients will feel cherished, fulfilled and inspired to seek God.

Some secondary school students will intern at CA through our Social Enterprise. Please pray that we are able to teach them about God’s heart for the poor, and that it means more to give than to receive.   30

Please pray for our marketing team working outdoors to promote “Friends of Qinghai Children” who have to endure a very hot, humid and rainy summer. May their efforts reap abundantly to support our ministry in Qinghai.
