Social Enterprise

Christian Action Social Enterprise initiative was founded on the belief that sustainable business operation programs can serve to generate revenue to achieve social objectives such as protecting our environment, creating employment opportunities, as well as helping the neediest among us.

Our “Green Collection” Program is proactively promoting environmental protection and recycling since 2003 and helps distribute the needed items to the disadvantaged. We are also the Scheme Manager of the Home Affairs Department “Community Used Clothes Recycling Bank Scheme” of the Kowloon Region since 2006. So far, over 2,200 tones of clothes have been collected.

Our “Community Sales Outlet”, a discount retail store, helps to promote recycling and generate revenue to fund our non-subvented social and humanitarian services, so that more needy persons can be benefited.

What we collect?

New or old clothes, accessories, toys, shoes, bags, books, small household and electrical appliances and anything that you would like to donate to us. To know more about Green Collection Programme, please click here for more details.

Where we give?

The collected items will be sold through our local community sales outlets, or to developing countries through our green recycling business partners, to provide essential funds for our service programs. Some items are also being distributed to our service recipients.

Who will benefit?

The people who are disadvantaged: new arrivals and ethnic minorities, refugees and asylum seekers in Hong Kong, as well as students from poor families, orphans and disabled children in Qinghai, China.

Why we have Green Education?

We hold environmental and collection activities with housing estates, schools and organizations to promote the concept of recycling.
