Responsibilities
  • Conduct face-to-face and telephone client interviews and case intake;

  • Support clients through labour claim processes, including preparation of statements, defense statements, and correspondence;

  • Liaison with relevant parties including the courts/tribunals, duty lawyers, law firms, the Police, and the Immigration Department;

  • Review, analyse, and organise case information and supporting documents; maintain accurate, timely, and confidential case records in accordance with centre procedures;

  • Coordinate and communicate with external stakeholders (including the Judiciary, duty lawyers, pro bono lawyers, and relevant authorities) to facilitate appropriate referrals, case progression, and service continuity;

  • Provide accompaniment/escort services for service users, as required, to relevant venues such as the Labour Tribunal, Labour Department, designated mediation/conciliation bodies, law firms, Magistrates’ Courts, Police Stations, hospitals, and consulates;

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations, policies, and procedures affecting migrant domestic workers and their employment rights, and integrate updates into service provision and client education;

  • Support outreach, community engagement, and centre events as assigned, including coordination with partners and participation in public education activities;

  • Any ad hoc duties as required.

Requirements
  • Diploma or above in Legal Studies, Social Work, Counselling, Humanities/Social Sciences, or a related discipline (degree preferred);

  • Experience in client service, case intake, NGO/social service, legal aid/paralegal support, support of front-line community work (fresh graduates w/strong internship/volunteering experience welcomed);

  • Strong interpersonal and basic interviewing skills;

  • Willing to work occasional weekends/holidays to meet service needs and over time;

  • Proficiency in MS Office;

  • Good command in spoken and written in English and preferable knowledge in Bahasa Indonesia, but not a must.
