Mr. Julian WALSH, Chairman

Mr. Walsh joined the Board in 1993 and served as the Honorary Treasurer until December 2019 when he became the Chairman of the Board.  Mr. Walsh is a qualified Chartered Accountant and graduated from Cambridge University; he is the Director of J P Walsh & Co. Ltd.

Mr. Peter FUNG, Vice Chairman

Mr. Fung has been an active Board Member since 1996 and became Vice Chairman in 2017.  Mr. Fung received his degree in the UK, and he is the Director of Good Star Plastics & Metal Factory Limited. Other social commitments, Mr. Fung is a member of Kwun Tong District Office Central Area Committee and he is a very active member of St. John's Cathedral.

Dr. YUE Kwok To, Hon. Treasurer

Dr. Yue joined Christian Action Board in 2003, currently the Chairman of Christian Action Asia.  Dr. Yue received his PhD in Physics from the University of Illinois. He is the Managing Director of Vernier Asia Ltd. Other social commitments, Dr. Yue is the Chairman of the Western Academy of Beijing Education Foundation and received a “Friendship Award” from the Ministry of Foreign Experts of the People’s Republic of China in 1998.

Mr. Tim Smith, Hon. Secretary

Mr. Smith joined Christian Action Board in 2013 and was elected as Hon. Secretary of the Board in 2017. He received his B.A. (Hons) 1st class in Geography from the University of Oxford in 1985. Mr. Smith is a Senior Advisor for APM Terminals, a subsidiary of the Maersk Group. He has lived in Hong Kong for over 25 years and attends Clearwater Bay International Baptist Church.

Mr. Anthony CHARTER, JP, Member

A Board Member since 2001, Mr. Charter became the Chairman in 2004 and stepped down in 2019. Prior to his retirement in 2000, he was the Managing Director of Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Ltd. (HACTL). Mr. Charter is a Justice of the Peace of the HKSAR Government and has lived in Hong Kong for over 60 years, where he was very active at the Resurrection Church in the Sai Kung and Clear Water Bay community.

Mr. William CHAN, SBS, Member

A Board Member since 1998. Mr. Chan obtained his law degree in the UK, before his retirement he was the Director of Legal Aid in Legal Aid Department of the HKSAR Government. He attends International Christian Assembly.

Mr. Vincent LAM, JP, Member

Mr. Vincent Lam joined Christian Action Board in 2017. He is the Chairman/CEO/Executive Director of Asiaray Media Group Limited. Other social commitments, Mr. Vincent Lam is a Member of the Basic Law Promotion Steering Committee of the HKSAR Government; a Member of the Twelve Yunnan Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference. He founded the Lam Kwun King Memorial Fund; as well a fellow of the CPA Australia; currently attending E.F.C.C. - Kong Fook Church.

Mr. Frank WONG, Member

Mr. Wong joined Christian Action Board in 2021 and is the President of Scholastic Asia. He is also a board member of Path of Democracy, the vice-chairman of AFS Intercultural Exchange, and an advisor to Mu Kuang English College and InspireHK Sports Foundation. Originally from Hong Kong, Mr. Wong studied at Columbia University and Harvard University before working in the US and Asia.

Mrs. Carrie YAU, GBS, JP, Member

Mrs. Yau was a Board Member at Christian Action from 1994 to 2001. She was invited to rejoin the Board in 2023. Mrs. Yau has served in Hong Kong for many years, with over 30 years' experience in the Hong Kong Civil Service and management. She was also the Executive Director of the Vocational Training Council (VTC) from 2013 to 2021.  After which Mrs. Yau was invited to be an Advisor to “Our Hong Kong Foundation” and  “The Hong Kong Halls of Commons” in addition to, loyal service on numerous Boards and Committees in the commerce, industry and education sectors.

Mr. David LIN, Member

Mr. Lin joined the Christian Action Board in 2023. He is a solicitor and practices as a partner at C. P. Lin & Co. He holds degrees in both law and commerce from the University of Melbourne. Mr. Lin has a passion for charitable causes and has served as a Board Member or advisor, in a number of Hong Kong and international non-profit organizations.

Mrs. CHEUNG-ANG Siew Mei, JP, Executive Director & Ex- officio Member

As the Executive Director of Christian Action Hong Kong, Mrs. Cheung has steered the work of Christian Action by faith and by her commitment to meet the needs of the poor and the disadvantaged in Hong Kong and China.  She obtained her honours degree in the UK, and was appointed Executive Director of Christian Action Hong Kong in 1992.  Mrs. Cheung is a Justice of the Peace of the HKSAR Government and is an active member of Hong Kong Resurrection Church.
