Ming's (not a real name) Story

Ming (not a real name) studied hard when he was a student, achieved his goal and was admitted to university.

This achievement is remarkable because he is from an extremely humble background, overcame seemingly insurmountable odds and lives in a subdivided apartment with his mother and younger sister who suffers from severe mental handicaps.

Since secondary school, Ming has participated in the English class at the Mong Kok Service Centre. With the guidance of tutors and support from Christian Action, he finally obtained excellent results in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (DSE) and was admitted to one of the top 3 universities in Hong Kong.

Ming said “The Mong Kok Centre offered me a job as a tutor in the After-School child-care programme, I think this is a wonderful chance to repay the kindness that I received, so now it is my turn to bless others. Thank you Christian Action for your continuous support! ”
