Our Mong Kok Service Centre is applying for funding to extend its services for children from grassroots families. Pray for sufficient resources and providence for us to lessen the burden of these parents in taking care of their children as they must work long hours to make ends meet. Amen!

One of our shelter clients under the Migrant Domestic Workers (MDWs) Programme will have her hearing this July which has been pending for more than a year. Please pray for His presence, providence, and comfort during this trying time; and she will personally understand the verse written in Numbers 6:24: “The LORD bless you and keep you”. Pray that the court case will also be settled and resolved soon. Amen!

Our Social Enterprise Department (SED) will run an ESG event emphasizing the importance of the Environment, Society, and good Governance with a corporate partner today. Pray that we strive to partner with different stakeholders to promote community cohesion, green advocacy, and environmental education.

5 more“Loving Mama (愛心媽媽)” have currently joined the Xin Ning Court (心寧家園) in Qinghai, under our China programme, where young teenagers suffering from physical/mental disabilities are trained in their daily lives and helped to transit to the social welfare institute when they reach the age of 18. Please pray that they will team up to serve these teenagers with compassion and patience; and our services can fill the needs according to God’s will. Amen!

The HK Christian Council, in which Mrs. Cheung-Ang Siew Mei JP, our Executive Director, serves as a member on its Executive Committee, has signified today as a special “Hong Kong Sunday.” May churches from different denominations in HK be called to present a unified witness for His kingdom and that His will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Amen!

This July, On Tai Service Centre (OTSC) will implement a weekly Chinese learning class to be taught by an Ethnic Minority (EM) youth for the EM woman clients. Pray for wisdom and persistence that we strive to foster community cohesion and sense of belonging for the residents through our services; and all of them enjoy the classes.

Some primary 6 students under our after-school care programme and Child Development Fund (CDF) will receive their Secondary School Place Allocation results today. Pray that they feel empowered to start a new chapter in their secondary school life soon with God’s grace and peace.

The woman volunteers from our Long Ping Service Centre (LPSC) will work hand in hand with our partner church to hold a party today for about 50 seniors in the vicinity. Hopefully, we will foster networking with different local churches to deliver love and care to those needy elders in the community. Amen!

 

The Café Corner for health care workers in our SSC will organize some activities such as games and finger crochet classes for its welfare clients this July. We hope that the beneficiaries will feel empowered and learn to let go of their stress to Our Lord as He cares about every one of us.

Starting from next Monday, our Sheung Shui Service Centre (SSC) will launch a 7-week childcare service for some primary school pupils. Pray that we continue to provide market-needed service for the disadvantaged in the North District, so they feel loved and cared for in the community.

The Hong Kong Book Fair 2025 will be held next week at the HK Convention and Exhibition Centre. With complimentary tickets, some of our clients under the care of our social services division will attend the event. Pray that the beneficiaries will have an enjoyable time and be motivated to read.

The results of the 2025 HK Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE) will be released on 16th July. May God abundantly bless all the students to grasp the essence of the Truth: Wisdom begins with the fear of God. Pray that the students are coached to choose wisely through our service when forging their future plan.

Mrs. Cheung will attend a retreat of the Hong Kong Church Network for the Poor (HKCNP) in her capacity as a board member today. Pray for Godly guidance and presence with all the attendees so they will be united as one Body to spread hope and love to the deprived sector of the city.

Yesterday the On Tai Employment Support Services Centre (EmSS) held a job fair titled “3rd Shot of Job Recruitment Session” in Yau Tong; offering over 1,000 jobs of different industries on site like chain caterers, health care, retailing and others; and also workshops covering essential job application, interviewing skills and mental health. Pray for His wisdom and connection that we would offer the right matching and employment opportunities for job seekers and bring faith and hope to them. Amen!

Following what Jesus said, “Let the children come to me… for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 19:14, This summer, children from our Mong Kok Service Centre will join the vacation bible classes co-organized by our partner churches. Pray that more churches will join hands with us to embrace the next generation with a big heart.

CA has begun tendering procedures relating to the selection of our cleaning as well as air-conditioner cleaning service providers which will be closed by the end of July. May God link us with the right service providers that will optimize our resources. Amen!

Please pray for the divine wisdom and guidance of our Board Members, as CA will hold a board meeting today. Bless them with insightful discussions and spiritual guidance to lead CA with purpose, strength, and compassion.

Our EMAm Team has conducted different board games including Carrom and interesting activities like make-up and reading in the library. Pray that all EM youth will be enriched by these enjoyable moments this summer; and feel loved and cared for in the community.

The Training Services Division (TSD) will participate in a job fair named “Let’s Build Workplace Diversity and Inclusion共創多元文化工作間 招聘會” organized by the Labour Department today and tomorrow to promote our Employees Retraining Bureau (ERB) training programmes in MacPherson Stadium, Mongkok. Pray that more people, especially the EMs, will be enriched through our ERB training and retraining programme to enter the job market with confidence and skills; and secure a long-term job soon.

In these 2 days, our Child Development Fund (CDF) teams will jointly implement a camping activity for mentees. Pray for perfect weather; and that all of them enjoy themselves in nature filled with God’s amazing creations. Pray that we will better equip the younger generation with self-care, discipline, and self-exploration to team building; and they will grow up with courage and mutual respect, and that their families would be coached to seek God. Amen!

In July, our SED has organized several green collection drives in different housing estates in Kowloon. Pray that we will continue to promote community integration and environmental preservation through our advocacy.

Supported by government funding, our Ambassador Scheme for Ethnic Minority Youth (Urban) has been extended for another year. Pray that we strive with God’s empowerment to connect the right persons through the initiative to reach the community and help them to embrace greater integration with ease and fun.

CA tries to seize every chance to preach God’s Word and be prepared in season and out of season and enrich the holistic development of our staff, not to mention their spiritual wellbeing. Praise God! We plan to launch another round of the CA Alpha Workplace at our Headquarters. Pray that we serve and glorify Him through staying aligned with the Bible and spreading the gospel through the Holy Spirit and our fervent faith in HIM. Amen!

Today is World Day Against Trafficking in Persons (TIPs) designated by the United Nations. Pray that the public and governments will have more concern and pay more attention to this serious issue; and we will do what we can to mitigate it.
